ABOUT THE PROGRAMS

The ITC Office of Continuing Education and the Certificate Programs provides continuing education experiences to a broad range of non-traditional students in both local and distant communities. Except where noted, all continuing education events and programs are offered on the ITC campus, open to the public and do not require prior completion of any academic degree.

CONTINUING EDUCATION (non-degree)

The Continuing Education Program allows students to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in multiple ways and in different settings, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Founder’s Day Lectures offered through each of the five constituent seminaries in the months of October – April of each year.
  • Denominational Academies and Special Training Events (at the request of constituent denominations).
  • A separate program, The Institute of Church Administration and Management (ICAM) offers several seminars for seminary graduates, lay leaders, and other interested persons during the Fall and Spring of each year.
  • Continuing Education Events for Fall, Spring and Summer: The Black Women in Ministry Summer School Course; the Urban Theological Institute’s Training Seminars; and the A.M.E. Ministers’ Conference.

All CEUs are granted according to the published guidelines of the Association of Theological Schools.
