The Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC), located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, Georgia within the community of the nation’s largest consortium of historically Black colleges and universities, the Atlanta University Center, was founded in 1958 as a graduate professional historically Black theological school.  The ITC is comprised of five denominational seminaries – Gammon Theological Seminary (United Methodist); Charles H. Mason Theological Seminary (Church of God in Christ); the Morehouse School of Religion (Baptist); Phillips School of Theology (Christian Methodist Episcopal); and Turner Theological Seminary (African Methodist Episcopal) – and the Selma and T. Harry V. Richardson Ecumenical Fellowship.

The primary mission of ITC is training women and men to become pastors and scholars and to serve in related Church leadership and ministry positions in the institution’s constituent denominations and within the global community.  The institution provides a unique afro-centric curriculum in an ecumenical context.  In addition, ITC educates and nurtures women and men who commit to and practice a liberating and transforming spirituality; academic discipline; religious, gender and cultural diversity; and justice and peace.  ITC is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges[1] and the Association of Theological Schools in the U.S. and Canada.  An annual enrollment of 400 students draws persons from the U.S. and around the world.

Applicants should hold an earned doctoral degree from an accredited institution and ten or more years of progressive experience in academic leadership with a solid understanding of the distinctiveness of theological education.  We are seeking individuals who excel in organizational leadership and operations management with a demonstrated ability to raise funds from a variety of funding sources.  Prior leadership and oversight in connection with securing, maintaining, or reaffirming college or university accreditation is mandatory.
