Dr. Marvin L. Morgan, a Certified Intentional Interim Minister (IIM) and Church Consultant, served as a UCC pastor and interim pastor for 45 years, in NC, NY, GA and TN. During this same period, he also served as a police department chaplain, a county government chaplain, a theological school administrator and a labor organizer. Dr. Morgan is an adjunct faculty member at the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Ga. He’ is also on the faculty and is a consultant at the Center for Congregational Health in Winston-Salem, NC.
He welcomed the call (effective April 5, 2017) to serve as Interim Senior Pastor of St John EUCC and journeys with the members of St. John to identify and embrace the tremendous potential that is already evident within this dynamic community of faith. His fervent prayer is that his deep love and commitment to all aspects of local church ministry becomes evident within St. John and the broader community. Marvin is married to Mae T. Morgan, MD and they are the proud parents of 4 adult children and have 6 grandchildren.
